Veterans Education Information Sessions

If you have not attended one of our information sessions or would like a refresher on VA requirements for the VA benefit you are using, RSVP for one of our upcoming sessions.  Attending will allow you to get reminders on adding or dropping classes, full-time status, and picking summer and fall courses.  You will also hear about different ACC services and connect with other military-affiliated students. The topics covered will include Financial Aid and Scholarships, Student Accessibility Services, VetSuccess On Campus, and more!

Military Veteran Peer Network Workshop

Learn about the Military Veteran Peer Network (MVPN) at the Samaritan Center. The MVPN is a statewide initiative that connects service members, veterans, and their families with certified peer support specialists and community-based services to share experiences and create supportive relationships. The Center integrates trained veteran peers into its care model, enhancing trust and connection in the healing process, as well as training in military cultural competency and suicide prevention, support groups, and one-on-one assistance. Food will be provided.

Workforce Solutions Capital Area Workshop

The Workforce Solutions Capital Area is a proud “We Hire Vets” employer. If you have served in the Armed Forces or are an eligible spouse, they are honored to meet your job search and training needs. Honorably discharged veterans and eligible spouses are afforded priority services in their workforce centers.

Texas Veterans Land Board Workshop

Join us for the Texas Veterans Land Board benefits presentation to learn all about your Veterans Benefits. We’ll share information on our land, home, and home improvement loan programs, as well as details about our Texas State Veterans Homes and Cemeteries.

ACC Veterans Outreach and our VetSuccess on Campus attended an event in Kyle on November 2nd



The Military Families Center has been added to the expanded Veterans Resource Center space. Together, they form the ACC Military Network. If you are an active-duty spouse, please visit the Military Families Center page.

The VRC offers the college’s military and veteran students a central, one-stop location for obtaining essential support services such as VA certification and advising for VA benefits. The 4,000-square-foot center also features a lounge area where students can connect with peers and participate in veteran-specific activities.
