Spring 2026 Veterans Outreach Events
Each of the following events will be held either virtually or in person at the ACC Veterans Resource Center at the Highland Campus or ACC campuses in the district!
Veteran and Military-Connected ACC Information Sessions
Whether you’re interested as a first-time student or you need a refresher, learn about education benefits, ACC resources, and other support services for veterans and military-connected students attending Austin Community College. Food and refreshments will be provided for in-person sessions.

Heroes Resource Center / Heroes Night Out Workshop
Heroes Resource Center is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to serving Veterans, Service Members, and their families. Hear directly from a representative from the organization as they discuss their resources, which are offered free of charge, including peer-to-peer groups, family and individual activities, on-site counseling, a Veteran Service Officer for claims and benefits, a VA Loan Specialist, TVC Financial Assistance (for rent/utilities), and more. Food and refreshments will be provided.

Veterans Resource Center – Spring Social Open House
Celebrate the first week of the Spring Semester by stopping by the Veterans Resource Center at ACC Highland. Meet our staff at the VRC and your fellow military-connected students, play games, win prizes, and enjoy free food and refreshments.

Texas Veterans Land Board Workshop (Video Available)
Join us for the Texas Veterans Land Board benefits presentation to learn all about your Veterans Benefits. We’ll share information on our land, home, and home improvement loan programs, as well as details about our Texas State Veterans Homes and Cemeteries. (Recorded on Zoom)

Holidays across the World @ the Military Network Center
ACC Veterans Outreach and our VetSuccess on Campus attended an event in Kyle on November 2nd
The Military Families Center has been added to the expanded Veterans Resource Center space. Together, they form the ACC Military Network. If you are an active-duty spouse, please visit the Military Families Center page.
The VRC offers the college’s military and veteran students a central, one-stop location for obtaining essential support services such as VA certification and advising for VA benefits. The 4,000-square-foot center also features a lounge area where students can connect with peers and participate in veteran-specific activities.
