Personal Resources

We know that when life gets tough, academics can suffer. That’s why ACC has a number of personal resources that support our students so they can achieve success. ACC services include food pantries, child care assistance, and emergency funds. Students can make appointments at the Amplify Center, ACC’s mental health counseling services hub.  Visit today and see how we can help.

Mental Health Counseling

ACC District Clinical Counseling Services provides virtual tele-mental health and in-person mental health counseling for enrolled ACC students. Visit the Mental Health Counseling website for more information.

Student Care Center

Whether you are looking for access to food or resources for other essentials like housing, transportation, legal aid, child care, etc…, the Student Care Center at the Highland Campus is here to help you get what you need so that you can focus on your academic goals. Student Advocacy Center

The Student Advocacy Center (formerly the Support Center) provides specialized assistance and referrals to help you overcome personal and family challenges to completing your education. Contact the Student Advocacy Center at [email protected] or by directly contacting an advocate.

Food Access and Benefits Help

You and your family can receive groceries at no cost through ACC’s partnerships with Central Texas Food Bank’s (CTFB) mobile food distributions and other community partner food access opportunities. ACC-hosted food access events will be updated on this schedule.

Apply for ongoing federal benefits like Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Women, Infants & Children (WIC) with the help of ACC’s trained Student Advocacy Center specialists or schedule an appointment with CTFB. Apoyo con SNAP aplicación por CTFB.

Rent, Housing, and Utility Assistance

ACC’s Student Emergency Fund is there for life’s unexpected emergencies.

Transportation

Campus Assessment Response Evaluation and Support (CARES)

The CARES program is dedicated to the prevention, early intervention, and response to students’ concerning, disruptive, and threatening behaviors. If a person poses an active or immediate risk of violence to self or others, ACC Police should be contacted at 512-223-7999 or call 911.
