Where is the garage and when is it open?
The Rio Grande parking garage, located near the Rio Grande Campus (see map at the bottom of the page), is open 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday; and 6:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Friday. The garage is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Who can park in the Rio Grande Campus parking garage?
The parking garage is open to all ACC students, faculty, and staff who buy a parking permit. Any individual with an active ACC ID card will be permitted passage through the entry gate. You must display a parking permit to park in the garage.
How will I know if there are garage spots available?
You will know if the garage is full by viewing lighted signs (reading open or full) at the garage entry areas. There will be one sign for student spots and a separate sign for faculty and staff parking spaces. If the garage is full, drivers will need to check for vacancies in surface parking at House Park Field or on the street. Faculty should park in designated spaces in the ACC lot north of the RGC annex building. Garage operation is closely monitored by the campus manager and ACC Police to determine if other procedures need to be implemented to facilitate garage use.
How much does it cost to park in the garage?
Your ACC parking permit is all you need to use the parking garage. You do not pay any additional fees.
From what streets can I access the garage?
Garage entry and exit occurs on 12th Street and on Shoal Creek Blvd.
When your purchase a parking permit, your ACC ID card is activated to allow the entry gate to open. Your ACC ID card will also be required to exit the garage, as that is the method used to track if there are empty spaces available, information that is posted on lighted signs at the entrance gates.
The garage includes:
- The garage includes 410 spaces on levels 3,4,5,6,7 for students.
- 116 spaces on levels 1,2,3 for faculty/staff.
- 2 bookstore spaces.
- Garage has a total of 528 spaces.
There are 2 visitor spaces at the Rio Grande Campus Attache Building (visitor signs are posted).
What security measures are in place?
