Financial aid can help you pay for college. Many students are eligible for some type of financial aid like grants, scholarships, work-study, or loans. The Financial Aid Office at Austin Community College will work with you to explore options and access the funds you need to pay for college.

Start Here

Applying for financial aid takes four steps. Start with submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It’s free, and opens the door to grants (free money), work-study (part-time work), and loans (borrowed money).

The FAFSA is for U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens. Not sure if you qualify for FAFSA? Review the eligibility requirements. If you don’t qualify for FAFSA, you may still be eligible for financial aid through the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA)
