The Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) is available to Texas Residents who do not qualify for federal financial aid through the FAFSA.
Before You Get Started
- Determine if you qualify for state aid. Students must meet Texas residency requirements outlined in Senate Bill 1528 (SB 1528). Need help? Use this decision tree to determine if you qualify for state aid.
- New Students: Apply to ACC and activate your ACC eID before submitting the TASFA. Your ACC eID connects your TASFA to your student account.
- Submit a Residency Affidavit Form with ACC’s Admissions & Enrollment.
2025-2026 TASFA Steps (Next School Year)
Follow these steps to secure your financial aid for the 2025-2026 school year, starting with Fall 2025. Include ACC in your application using school code 012015 and your ACC eID.
Step 1: Submit the 2025-2026 TASFA
The 2025-2026 TASFA is available online or in paper format. We recommend using the online form, but you can submit a paper application if you prefer.
Option 1: Complete the online eTASFA
- Visit highered.texas.gov/tasfa.
- Scroll down to the middle of the page and select “Start the Online TASFA”.
- If you are a new user, click “Visit the TASFA Decision page” to answer pre-application questions ensuring your eligibility to continue with the TASFA application.
- Enter your account credentials, or if you do not have an account yet, create one by selecting “Sign up now.”
- Complete the two-step verification process for security.
- After logging in, select “Apply Now” to begin the 2025-2026 eTASFA application.
- Enter your personal information, background, and income details. If applicable, enter your parent(s) or spouse’s information as well.
- Important: In the College section, include ACC using the school code 012015. Then, enter your ACC eID under “College Student ID.” Your ACC eID connects your application to your student account.
- Sign and Submit
- If parent information is required, you’ll need to request your parent’s signature by entering their email within your application. The email used for your parent cannot be the same as your student email. Provide your parent with the following information:
- Student application ID
- Student email used for the TASFA
- Student date of birth (DOB)

Note: The eTASFA is currently available only in English. However, if you need assistance in Spanish, you can reference the paper application while completing the online version.
Option 2: Complete the Paper TASFA
Download and fill out the paper TASFA form. Submit it to the ACC Financial Aid Office in-person, via email ([email protected]), or by fax (512-223-7963).
The Financial Aid Office will begin processing 2025-2026 TASFA applications later this spring semester. Track your application status via your ACCMail and Self-Service for updates.
Additional documents may be required. If you are required to submit additional documents, visit the financial aid forms page for guidance on submitting documents smoothly.
2024-2025 TASFA Steps (Current School Year)
Follow these steps to secure your financial aid for the 2024-2025 school year, starting with Fall 2024. Include ACC in your application using school code 012015 and your ACC eID.
