Hosted by ACC’s Office of Financial Aid, Loan Zone is a free workshop that walks you through the ins and outs of federal student loans. Whether you’re just getting started or getting ready to repay, you’ll leave with the knowledge you need to feel more confident about your next steps. Dollar$ & Donuts is a fun and supportive workshop where you’ll get help completing your financial aid applications, submitting the ACC Scholarship Application, and exploring financial resources at ACC and beyond.

Whether you’re just getting started or stuck on a specific step, our team is here to guide you through the process and boost your confidence. We’ll also save time for Q&A and can help you start your application on the spot.

Academic Rescue: Guide to GPA, Financial Aid, & Student Support

Description:

Feeling overwhelmed with school but hesitant to seek help? Whether it’s a low GPA, incomplete courses, or concerns about financial aid, you’re not alone. This workshop, co-hosted by the Student Affairs and Financial Aid teams, is designed with you in mind. You’ll learn how to:

  • Understand your GPA and track your progress
  • Create a plan to achieve your goals to graduate or transfer
  • Improve your GPA and academic performance
  • Access financial aid and support resources

We’ll also explain how your grades and course completion affect your financial aid. Terms like Academic Standards of Progress (ASP) and Satisfactory Academic Process (SAP) might sound tricky, but we’ll make them easy to understand. RSVP to take control of your educational future!

*Choose any of the locations and times that best fit your schedule. Space is limited, so register early. Please do not be late or you will be asked to register for another workshop.
